Summary
One in this series of variety programs hosted by Playboy
magazine publisher Hugh Hefner in a party setting. This
program offers a salute to the music of guest Charles
Strouse. Highlights include Strouse, Chita Rivera, Jack
Cassidy, and Carol Burnett talking with Hefner about
working on Broadway; Hal Frazier singing "I've Got a Lot
of Living to Do" and "Once Upon a Time"; Cassidy singing
a song from "Superman"; Rivera singing "Put on a Happy
Face"; drummer Buddy Rich performing "Workout"; and
Strouse himself with a medley from the hit show
"Applause." Musical director Tommy Oliver leads a
medley of his favorite Strouse songs, including "One
Girl" and "Kids" (sung by Rich). Don Adams joins the
show as it concludes. Commercials deleted.
