MYSTERY!: CAMPION, SERIES 1: DEATH OF A GHOST {PART 2 OF 2} (TV)
Summary
Continues from T:25758. Part two of a two-part program in this mystery anthology series. This program features mystery novelist Margery Allingham's sarcastic blueblood detective, Albert Campion, who is assisted by his very own observant "Dr. Watson," Magersfontein Lugg. In part two of "Death of a Ghost," Campion figures out that the first murder victim at one time earned his living forging works of art. In particular, he forged copies of works by the long-deceased husband of Campion's friend Belle. Belle threw a party once a year to honor her late husband. At this event, she unveiled one of his never-before viewed works of art. Campion suspects that these paintings had been substituted with Tom's forgeries and that the genuine works had been stolen. Whoever hired Tom to forge the paintings feared that he would be found out. Campion believes that he knows the identity of the guilty party. However, he does not have enough evidence to prove his case until he himself puts his life on the line and accidentally proves that his suspect is a murderer.
