LUCKY PUP (TV)
Summary
One in this series of children's puppet shows, hosted by Doris Brown, featuring the puppets Lucky Pup, a dog who has inherited five million dollars, and Foodini, a dastardly magician with designs on the dog's fortune. This tape contains two episodes. (Lucky Pup does not appear in either episode.) In the first episode, Jolo the Clown is opening fan mail when he discovers a gift package for himself, Smiley, and Doris. Doris presents everyone with their gifts, after which they encourage viewers to use Ipana toothpaste. Next, Doris introduces Mr. Pitch. Pitch used a bottle of supposed hair tonic, belatedly realizing that the bottle really contained "ninety-nine percent itch and one percent glue." Elsewhere, Foodini's dimwitted assistant Pinhead is suffering from the same hair-tonic itch, and Foodini takes advantage of Pinhead's suffering. In the second episode, Mr. Sharpshooter is trying to crack Foodini's safe open, but Foodini and Pinhead are alerted to his presence. Sharpshooter hides as Foodini and Pinhead investigate. After Foodini goes back to bed, the thief kidnaps Pinhead. The program concludes as Doris reminds viewers to use Ipana toothpaste. Commercials deleted.
