BONANZA: MRS. WHARTON AND THE LESSER BREEDS (TV)
Summary
One in this long-running western drama series about widower Ben Cartwright, his sons, and their adventures on their ranch in Nevada's Ponderosa. In this episode, Candy is hired by an aristocratic English woman to accompany her from San Francisco to Virginia City. But when their stagecoach is robbed, Candy is charged with the additional task of recovering her valuables. Ben cordially offers refuge to Mrs. Wharton at the Ponderosa, but the indomitable lady insists on accompanying Candy as he tracks the thieves through the rough territory of Nevada. Candy soon discovers that handling gun-slinging outlaws is an easier task than insuring the safety of the headstrong English woman. Candy and Mrs. Wharton run into trouble with the robbers, but the brutish gang learn that guns are ineffective weapons against the cunning of the well-bred Mrs. Wharton. Includes commercials.
