Summary
Continued from T:28238. Part two of two. One in this series of science fiction programs about the voyages of the U.S.S. Enterprise in the 24th century. This sequel to the original "Star Trek" series is set approximately 85 years after the journeys of the first Enterprise crew. In this episode, Capt. Picard and Lt. Cmdr. Data are sent to investigate the unauthorized presence of Admiral Spock in Romulan territory. Picard demands a full explanation from Spock about his activities on Romulus, and he informs Spock about the fate of his father. Spock is optimistic and believes that a peaceful reunification between the Vulcans and the Romulans is possible; yet even when Spock meets with Proconsul Neral, who promises a public endorsement of reunification peace talks, Picard remains skeptical of the Romulans' intentions. Meanwhile, Cmdr. Riker and his crew continue to investigate the theft of a surplus Vulcan ship, and they discover that Romulans are using the stolen ship in a plot against the Vulcans. On Romulus, Commander Sela arrests Spock, Picard and Data, and attempts to procure Spock's assistance in the Romulan plot against the Vulcans. Commercials deleted. This program is closed-captioned.
