M*A*S*H {MASH}: THE GENERAL FLIPPED AT DAWN {THIRD SEASON PREMIERE} (TV)
Summary
One in this series of comedy programs about the men and women of the 4077th Mobile Army Surgical Hospital (M*A*S*H) stationed behind the lines during the Korean War. In this episode, the M*A*S*H unit is threatened when Gen. Steele, a visiting commander whose sanity is questionable, gives orders that could imperil the lives of the hospital personnel and patients. Gen. Steele commands the entire unit to move to the front lines in order to reduce the amount of time that injured soldiers must wait for treatment. When Hawkeye protests this needlessly dangerous move, he is charged with insubordination by the general. The subsequent trial is marked by testimony, legal arguments, and Gen. Steele's impromptu song-and-dance numbers. Commercials deleted.
Cataloging of this program was made possible by Alan Alda.
