LAMB CHOP'S PLAY-ALONG!: PEER PRESSURE (TV)
Summary
One in this children's show, hosted by puppeteer Shari Lewis, and featuring puppets Lamb Chop, Hush Puppy, and Charlie Horse. This episode's main segment is "At Home With Lamb Chop: Peer Pressure" and is told in three acts. In act one, Lamb Chop wants to look "cool" and decides she needs a certain kind of denim jacket to accomplish that goal. In act two, Hush Puppy tells what it means to be in the "out" crowd after Lamb Chop decides it's not fashionable to hang out with him. Finally, in act three, Lamb Chop bemoans the fact that she is no longer a part of the "in" crowd as her "real friends" try to console her. Other segments include: two "Betcha" segments in which Shari teaches how to turn six coins into two rows of four coins and also how to make a piece of paper fall into a glass without touching it; Hush Puppy learns about the William Tell Overture, as well as William Tell himself; "Alpha-Toons" about the letter Z and number 7, then the letter I and the letter C; "Comedy Barn" in which Hush Puppy tells some jokes with the help of children; Lewis reading a one-minute story, "The First Christmas at Hollow Tree Inn"; Lewis and Lamp Chop learn about marsupials, specifically the opossum and its prehensile tail, and then get to meet Pockets the opossum; and Lewis, Lamb Chop, Charlie Horse, and Hush Puppy play the "What Do You See?" game with the audience. In the finale, children join Lamb Chop, Charlie Horse, and Hush Puppy in testing Lewis's patience with "The Song That Doesn't End."
