Summary
One in this series of dramas about the cases of private detective Stuart Bailey and his associates. In this episode, Rex is confounded when his associates each tell him how Stu and Jeff met and formed the agency -- because whoever tells the story readjusts it to make himself the suave hero, and the others foolish incompetents. The caper, the three times it is recounted, has something to with an investigation into a rash of car thefts, which ultimately leads to the discovery of a large-scale auto theft and smuggling operation and the recovery of a kidnapped young woman. But the real story is how each hero's tale evolves, with Jeff casting himself as a smooth, well-dressed ladykiller; Stu envisioning himself as a blasé intellectual playboy; and Kookie playing the super-cool and super-courageous teen. Commercials deleted.
