STAR TREK: DEEP SPACE NINE: DUET (TV)
Summary
One in this series of science fiction programs about a twenty-fourth-century space station, Deep Space Nine. In this episode, Major Kira accuses a Cardassian named Marritza of being a war criminal after he arrives at the station for treatment of a rare disease. Although Marritza denies the charges, Kira believes that he is guilty because his disease could only have been contracted during a mining accident at a labor camp where Cardassians mistreated Bajoran workers. Kira insists to Commander Sisko that she be allowed to prove his guilt, and complications arise when Marritza's identity is called into question. As the investigation continues, Kira learns that her people were not the only ones to have suffered from the brutality at the mines, and realizes that she cannot hate every Cardassian for the heinous crimes committed by some members of their race. Unfortunately for Marritza, not all Bajorans learn this lesson. Commercials deleted.
