NYPD BLUE: FOR WHOM THE SKELL ROLLS (TV)

Summary

One in this series of rough-edged police dramas about the cases and private lives of the detectives and station house personnel of a Manhattan precinct. In this episode, Internal Affairs is crawling all over the precinct as they investigate Detective Kelly with regard to the bust of some dirty cops; Detective Sipowicz and Kelly investigate a double homicide in the projects; Officer Licalsi takes the stand to testify about the manslaughter charges she faces; Sipowicz asks Assistant District Attorney Costas out for dinner, and finds he is anxious and nervous about the date; Kelly refuses to crack under the heavy pressure from Internal Affairs, so they decide to question Detective Medavoy about the situation; Sipowicz receives a videotape from an old friend of Kelly's which may help relieve the pressure from Internal Affairs; the detectives have a possible suspect in the murders and Kelly gets a confession out of him; a verdict is reached in the Licalsi case; and Sipowicz surprises Costas, as well as himself, at the dinner date.
