JONATHAN WINTERS AND HIS TRAVELING ROAD SHOW (TV)

Summary

This comedy special hosted by Jonathan Winters showcases the talents of Tamayo Otsuki, Jeff Dunham, Stevie Ray Fromstein, and The Legendary Wid. First, Jonathan Winters improvises with various items on stage including a fake rat, a rubber snake, and a whip. Then, comedienne Tamayo Otsuki critiques the negative traits of Japanese business men and the traditional activities and mannerisms of Japanese women. Following Otsuki, ventriloquist Jeff Dunham performs with the following dummies: Peanut, Jose Jalape–o on a Stick, a likeness of himself, and Walter. Then, stand-up comedian Stevie Ray Fromstein jokes about his need to be more assertive, his relationships with women, and television ads. Finally, The Legendary Wid uses a variety of props to animate idiomatic phrases and perform impersonations of celebrities including Mick Jagger and Prince Charles.
