Summary
Part one of two in this comedy series about Paul and Jamie, a married couple who live in New York City. In this episode -- an extended flashback to 1992 -- Paul and Jamie make the arrangements for their imminent wedding and both go a little overboard trying to appease the other's parents. The stress begins to get to Jamie as the couple deal with the following "details": finding a band for the reception; retrieving their mailed wedding invitations because of a misprint that Jamie fears could do some serious damage to her relationship with Paul's mother; selecting a menu at the caterer's; and handling bridesmaids who don't like their dresses. Later, as their wedding day draws near, Jamie gets upset when Paul hires Ira's band without consulting with her. He takes her upstate to hear them play a gig in an attempt to convince her how good they really are -- a gig that turns out to be at a correctional facility. Commercials deleted.
