NYPD BLUE: A.D.A. SIPOWICZ {SECOND SEASON FINALE} (TV)
Summary
One in this series of rough-edged police dramas about the cases and private lives of the detectives and station house personnel of a Manhattan precinct. In this episode, Detective Andy Sipowicz is getting ready for his upcoming marriage to Assistant District Attorney Sylvia Costas. Meanwhile, Lieutenant Fancy's younger brother, Reggie, tells Fancy that his sergeant suspended him after a gypsy cab driver claimed Reggie took kickbacks from him, and Fancy promises to talk to the sergeant, an old friend from the academy; Detective Russell arrives late for work and blames it on traffic, but Detective Bobby Simone knows that her drinking is the real problem; Sipowicz and Simone get a lead in an unsolved Chinatown murder; before Sipowicz's bachelor party, he poses as the A.D.A. in order to get the confession they need from the murder suspect; the detectives decide to help Reggie without Fancy's knowledge; and the wedding is a success and even Sipowicz's son, Andy, Jr., shows up unexpectedly.
