NEW ADVENTURES OF CAPTAIN PLANET, THE: NOTHING'S SACRED (TV)
Summary
One in this series of animated programs featuring Captain Planet, the environmental superhero who, with the help of five special young people from around the world called Planeteers, battles eco-villians bent on destroying Earth. In this episode, the evil Verminous Skum steals a sacred carving that will make him rich and fund his next operation. The Planeteers are vacationing in New York City when Ma-Ti notices the carving in a museum gallery, and he decides to take the carving and return it to its rightful owner. While trying to escape from Skum's henchmen, Ma-Ti loses his magic ring and has no way to summon the other Planeteers. As Ma-Ti attempts to return the carving, Skum follows him and takes it upon himself to get the carving back at any cost. The Planeteers eventually come together and summon Captain Planet, who tries to stop Skum and return the sacred carving to its rightful owner. Includes two Planet Alert messages from the Planeteers. Commercials deleted. (The series was also telecast under the title, "Captain Planet and the Planeteers" from 1990 to 1993.)
