HOMICIDE: LIFE ON THE STREET: A DOLL'S EYES (TV)
Summary
One in this series of police dramas about a department of reflective homicide detectives in Baltimore, Maryland. In this episode, a ten-year-old boy, Patrick, is the victim of a random shooting at a mall, and Detectives Pembleton and Bayliss are put in charge of the case. When the detectives learn that Patrick is brain dead, Bayliss begs Lieutenant Giardello to send this case over to another division because of the emotional impact it may have. Pembleton and Bayliss get a lead on the possible shooter and track him down. The suspect tells them that his older brother was the one with the gun and was chasing after him because of some problems with a girl. Meanwhile, Patrick's parents are struggling to accept the circumstances surrounding their son's condition, and just as Bayliss suspected, get the detectives involved. They wrap the case up, but Bayliss must struggle to come to grips with what happened to Patrick. Commercials deleted.
