
JUDY GARLAND SHOW, THE {MICKEY ROONEY} (TV)
Summary
One in this series of music/variety programs starring Judy Garland. In this program, Garland is joined by Mickey Rooney, her former sidekick from the Andy Hardy series and other musical films they made in their youth. They pay tribute to their old days at MGM and sing many songs together. Garland opens the show by singing "I Feel a Song Comin' On." Then Rooney takes the stage with "When I'm Not Near the Girl I Love," "Girls Girls Girls," and "Thank Heaven for Little Girls." Other songs performed include "When the Sun Comes Out"; "All I Need is The Girl"; "You're So Right for Me"; "Where or When"; "Could You Use Me?"; "How About You?"; "But Not For Me"; "God's Country"; "Too Late Now"; and "Who Cares?" Other highlights include Rooney doing a comedic Bobby Jones impersonation and Garland and Rooney looking at old photographs while reminiscing about their youth. Jerry Van Dyke does a brief comedy routine about television cameras. Garland closes the show with "Old Man River." Commercials deleted.
