HOMICIDE: LIFE ON THE STREET: WHITE LIES (TV)
Summary
One in this dramatic police series about a department of reflective homicide detectives in Baltimore, Maryland. In this episode, Detective Kellerman's name is being dragged through the newspapers in conjunction with the corruption charges against him. Detective Munch investigates the case of a dead woman whose body was found by her husband. Munch immediately clashes with the new medical examiner, Dr. Julianna Cox, regarding the case because he believes the husband is lying. Meanwhile, Detective Pembleton is having trouble coming to grips with having to do administrative duties while his colleagues are out on the streets. Kellerman confronts Mitch Roland, the man he busted while working in the arson unit, about the false accusations that he took bribe money. At the risk of being suspended, Kellerman agrees to take a polygraph test to prove his innocence. Munch questions the husband again about his wife's death and his persistence leads to a confession. However, Dr. Cox informs Munch that the woman overdosed on heroin, which renders the confession useless. Kellerman finally takes the polygraph test but still fears the results will be against him. Meanwhile, Pembleton opens up to Bayliss about the effects of his stroke; and Kellerman and Roland learn the results of their tests. Commercials deleted.
