BONE CHILLERS: FRANKENTURKEY (TV)

Summary

One in this children's series -- based on a series of novellas by Betsy Haynes and Daniel Weiss -- about scary Edgar Allan Poe High School, where four freshman struggle, not only with the everyday pressures of school, but with monsters as well. In this episode, filmed in "scare-o-morphic," Fitz works on some inappropriate Thanksgiving decorations after watching -- and being inspired by -- a telecast of "Frankenstein's Brother-In-Law." Later, Principal Pussman introduces the students to Gobbles, the turkey scheduled to be eaten at the school on Thanksgiving Thursday. He later instructs Fitz and Brian to fatten up Gobbles in time for the feast. Not wanting to harm the creature, the freshmen decide to develop a decoy instead, with the assistance of school cook Carl. When the decoy gets struck by lightning, it comes to life as the large and frightening Frankenturkey. Gobbles escapes during the storm, with the four teens splitting into two search teams: Sarah and Brian, and Fitz and Lexi. In the meantime, Pussman offers a reward for the missing Goggles. During yet another search, Frankenturkey ends up stalking the four freshmen as well as Gobbles. Ultimately, Frankenturkey captures and binds Gobbles, then attempts to feast on the students. They have no choice but to trick Frankenturkey into the oven. Come Thanksgiving, Frankenturkey is served to the students while the vegetarian Gobbles dines on corn. Commercials deleted.
