Summary

One in this series of dramas about the idealistic attorneys at a struggling Boston law practice. In this episode, Bobby squares off against the intense prosecutor Helen Gamble in an assisted suicide case. Painful personal memories color the performances of both litigators, making necessary the repeated intercession of level-headed Judge Martin Pratt. Neophyte criminal attorney Lindsay Doyle experiences similar personal difficulties as she faces her ex-boyfriend, A.D.A Chris Kelton, in her defense of small-time bookie Carl Malzone. Lindsay's partner, Eugene, takes an audacious tack in Malzone's defense, further agitating the distracted young woman. Meanwhile, the underworked Jimmy Berluti questions his worth to the firm. Includes commercials, promos, and public service announcements. This program is closed-captioned.
