Summary
One in this comedy series about two unlikely soulmates: Dharma, a yoga instructor who was raised by hippies, and her husband Greg, an assistant U.S. attorney for the Justice Department. In this episode, Dharma tries to coordinate a Thanksgiving feast for their in-laws. As the program begins, the Finkelsteins try to liberate a flock of caged turkeys. Dharma plans a holiday feast for the Montgomerys, who will forgo their annual Thanksgiving at a restaurant, and for the Finkelsteins, who usually fast on the holiday as a protest. Dressing up as straight-laced homemakers from the 1950s, Dharma and her friend Jane go shopping at the supermarket and bump into Pete, whom they invite to the feast. When Abby deduces that her nauseous daughter must be pregnant, Jane runs out to purchase a pregnancy test. The news of the pregnancy first reaches the other in-laws, melting the frosty relations between the radical hippies and blue-blooded Republicans. As they chat merrily about underwater birthing, military school, and reincarnation, they withhold the news from Greg, who is unfazed by their frozen smiles. Ultimately, Dharma takes her test and shares the news. Includes commercials. This program is closed-captioned.
