FAWLTY TOWERS: THE KIPPER AND THE CORPSE (TV)
Summary
One in this situation comedy series about Fawlty Towers, a small resort hotel run by Basil Fawlty, an incompetent bumbler. In this episode, Basil becomes impatient when he deals with Mrs. Chase's finicky dog and Dr. Price's pressing need for sausages, so when Basil delivers breakfast in bed to Mr. Leeman, he never even notices that his quiet guest is dead. When Polly discovers the body, Basil instantly fears that the cause of death was a slightly old kipper served at the hotel, and he attempts to hide the evidence. Polly finally succeeds in easing Basil's mind, and they call the undertaker to come and collect the body. When Basil, Manuel, and Polly move Mr. Leeman from room to room, attempting to conceal the body from the rest of the guests, chaos ensues.
