ABC MINI-SERIES: PETER BENCHLEY'S CREATURE {PART 2 OF 2} (TV)
Summary
Continued from T:53490. Part two of two. One in this special two-part, made-for-television movie based on Peter Benchley's novel "White Shark," in which a Caribbean community is terrorized by a genetically created shark-man creature awakened from a twenty-five year hibernation by a treasure hunter. Part two begins with Chase, Amanda, Max, and Werewolf racing away from the research facility on Shark's Tooth Island, where they just had a run-in with the creature. The Navy Seals arrive, and Admiral Richland has Chase and Amanda removed from the facility. Meanwhile, Adam Puckett attempts to hunt down the creature by himself and ends up in a hell of his own design. While searching the island, Max and Elizabeth witness a tribal ceremony being performed by the islanders to ward off the creature, discover Puckett's body in a marsh, and run into the creature nesting in a tree. Back at the facility, the Navy Seals set up motion sensors to detect the creature in case it returns. Amanda and Chase examine Bishop's secret lab and discover that Bishop had discovered a cure for cancer. However, in an effort to cover up the experiments, Richland destroys all documentation of Bishop's discoveries. Max, Elizabeth, and Tauna are attacked by the creature when it breaks into Tauna's house, but Max runs the creature off by overwhelming him with electrical stimuli. The Seals track the creature to the marsh and attempt to kill it, but they are all slaughtered. Even Richland falls prey to the creature. Chase, Amanda, Max, Tall Man, and Werewolf head back to the facility where they have a final showdown with the creature involving shotguns, cranes, and a decompression chamber. Includes commercials, promos, and public service announcements. This program is closed-captioned.
