ANOTHER WORLD {KIRKLAND AND PAULINA AFTER THE ACCIDENT} (TV)
Summary
One in this daytime serial set in the fictional town of Bay City, Illinois. In this episode, Amanda launches her plan to discredit Carl, and arranges for Rachel to find a mysterious present for Hadley Prescott. Meanwhile, Kirkland regains consciousness in the hospital, but Vicky learns that he has a dangerous brain anurism. While Shane advises surgery to avoid an eruption of the tumor, John is wary of operating due to its size and position. Although Paulina has escaped serious injury from the accident, John learns that she is addicted to drugs in the course of examining her. Paulina tells Joe that she takes diet pills, but when John reveals that she is abusing strong amphetamines, she tries to escape from the hospital. While fleeing, Paulina accidentally knocks down Toni and breaks the wire she is using to monitor Josie in an undercover stakeout. Shortly afterwards, Josie, who is unable to communicate with Toni, is attacked by Chip Rayburn. Commercials deleted.
