Summary
The second of two episodes on this tape. One in this satirical soap opera series about Mary Hartman, a housewife from Fernwood, Ohio. In this episode, Mary gets a phone call while preparing for her appearance on "The David Susskind Show" from Tom, who is drunk, has lost his latest job, and informs her that Martha has left town with a group of angry American Indians on their way to a protest in Washington, D.C. Mary goes window shopping in order to calm down and becomes entranced by a doll house that represents the perfect home and family life she wishes she could obtain. When she learns that the doll house is not for sale, she cracks under the disappointment and refuses to leave the toy store. Meanwhile, Father DeMarco confesses his love to Cathy, and George and Grandpa fear that she and the priest may have run off together. Martha returns home, but only after being separated from Billy Twelvetrees, who is now missing. Commercials deleted.
