Summary
The first of two episodes on this tape. One in this satirical soap opera series about Mary Hartman, a housewife from Fernwood, Ohio. In this episode, Mary takes Pat to receive counseling from Rabbi Weintraub about her marital problems; Lou gets jealous when Mac gives Loretta/Lulu an engagement ring, so he decides to sell the diner to prove his love for her; Mary asks Merle to pull some strings to help her parents keep their house; and while Wanda is visiting Mae, the police raid Mae's motel room under orders from the Commission on Community Standards, arresting both women and confiscating all of Mae's research materials. Commercials deleted.
