ONCE AND AGAIN: OUTSIDE HEARTS (TV)
Summary
One in this dramatic series about Rick Sammler and Lily Manning, two middle-aged parents who deal with the realities of divorce while they cope with raising their children and dating. The format of this series combines a traditional story line with revealing soliloquies by some of the main characters. In this episode, Lily travels to a booksellers convention and leaves Judy in charge of Grace and Zoe. While Lily is away, Judy allows Grace to attend a birthday party so that Grace can get to know Daniel, one of her classmates, better. However, there is no parental supervision, and the party becomes rowdy as one of the kids passes out due to alcohol poisoning. When Lily returns and finds out about what happened during the party, she is furious with Judy. Consequently, Grace becomes even more distant and sullen than usual. Lily realizes that she's not only angry that Judy allowed Grace to attend the party; she's also jealous of her sister's close relationship with Grace. Meanwhile, Rick has trouble punishing Eli, who admits to drinking beer at that same party even though he promised his parents that he would stay away from alcohol. Includes commercials, promos, and public service announcements. Commercials include Jason Alexander for Visa credit cards.
