Summary
The second of two episodes on this tape. One in this satirical soap opera series about Mary Hartman, a housewife from Fernwood, Ohio. In this episode, Cathy's awkward situation with her family causes her to decide to live with Howie, a situation he accepts with enthusiasm -- until he realizes that the deal comes with no sex, and a baby in tow. Lila confesses her love for Wanda, but Wanda misunderstands her meaning and unwittingly agrees to the romance. Meanwhile, Charlie and Mac bond to such an extent that Loretta is left out of the picture and feels ignored and unloved. Merle takes an overdose of stomach pills in a misguided suicide attempt, and Mary's entire family sings to him in order to keep him from falling into a permanent sleep. Commercials deleted.
