Summary
The second of two episodes on this tape. One in this satirical soap opera series about Mary Hartman, a housewife from Fernwood, Ohio. In this episode, the GGG convenes a special meeting to discuss the recent disasters in Fernwood. Bales fingers Dewey as a crazed militant member of an underground organization and tells Tom to forbid Mary to befriend Dewey any longer. In the meantime, Dewey breaks Mary's heart by telling her that her safety depends on them not being seen together. Cathy is broke, and Martha, in an attempt to leave George and his claims of her kleptomania behind, moves in with Cathy to help pay the bills. Difficulties arise, however, when Cathy tries to entertain Mac at the same time that George pays Martha a visit. Tom becomes more involved with the GGG and begins to carry a gun, much to Mary's dismay. The Hartmans receive a letter threatening members of the GGG, and Tom believes that it was sent by Dewey. Commercials deleted.
