Summary
One in this comedy series about Carrie Bradshaw, a single Manhattanite who writes a popular sex-advice column for a newspaper while dishing out dating advice and dirt with her three closest friends. In this episode, Carrie becomes obsessed with the fact that she said "I love you" to Mr. Big -- and he did not echo the sentiment. She declares to her friends that if he doesn't say "I love you" back within a week, she will dump him. Miranda begins dating a blue-collar bartender with no real aspirations to move up in the world. She wrestles with what she calls "yuppie guilt" as she attempts to reconcile herself to the fact that she is in love with someone who lives in a filthy studio apartment and owns only one suit ("made of corduroy, no less"). On the other side of the dating spectrum, Samantha is seeing an obscenely wealthy real-estate tycoon who has a servant who follows him around, while Charlotte gets a taste of the "groupie life" when she starts sleeping with a young movie star who wanders into her art gallery. Carrie determines that Mr. Big is trying to say "I love you" in his own way, but complications erupt after a misunderstanding at a ritzy party on the Upper East Side.
