FREAKS AND GEEKS: DEAD DOGS AND GYM TEACHERS (TV)
Summary
One in this series about two distinct groups of high schoolers in 1980 Michigan -- the Freaks, hoodish outcasts-by-choice who love heavy metal, cars, and defying authority; and the Geeks, physically and socially underdeveloped kids who revel in science fiction and impersonations of their comedy idols. In this episode, as the Freaks prepare for a road trip to see the Who in concert, Lindsay and Kim accidentally run over Millie's dog, Goliath, and Bill discovers that his mother has been dating the dread Coach Fredricks. Bill is horrified at this relationship and openly challenges the coach in gym class. Meanwhile, Kim tries to comfort Millie by talking about her own dead dog, BoBo, and attending Goliath's backyard funeral. Bill is shocked when he encounters an underwear-clad Coach Fredricks at the breakfast table so the coach tries to ease the tension by offering to take the Geeks to Go-Kart City. Lindsay is concerned when Kim and Millie begin to hang out, but in the end Kim proves a true friend to both Lindsay and Millie. Commercials deleted.
