TIME TUNNEL, THE: CHASE THROUGH TIME (TV)
Summary
One in this science fiction/fantasy series about Doug Phillips and Tony Newman, two scientists who become trapped in their own invention -- a tunnel that allows them to travel through time. In this episode, Tony and Doug are in a race against time as they hunt down a man named Nimon, who has killed a member of the Time Tunnel Team, hidden a nuclear device somewhere in the Time Tunnel complex, and escaped through the Time Tunnel itself. After a failed attempt to capture Nimon in the year 1547, the duo travel into the future, stopping at 1,000,000 A.D., where they encounter a society of workers, soldiers, and "masters" who have no understanding of emotions. They learn that through some sort of time warp Nimon has been living there for ten years, building a time tunnel of his own. With the help of a worker named Zee, Doug and Tony try to stop Nimon, but their attempt is foiled by Volkar, a zealous soldier who has vowed to protect Nimon. Meanwhile, the Time Tunnel Team frantically searches for the nuclear device before it can detonate and destroy the complex. Back in the future, Doug, Tony, Nimon, Volkar, and Zee are all sucked into the Time Tunnel and end up in the year 1,000,000 B.C., where Doug and Tony rescue Nimon from quicksand, teach Volkar about friendship and emotions, and save the complex just in the nick of time. Commercials deleted.
