Summary
One in this gothic daytime serial about the Collins family of Collinsport, Maine. In this episode, housekeeper Mrs. Johnson is frantically searching Collinwood for the missing David, knowing that the prophecy about the boy's death at midnight is only hours away. Burke and Joe search the estate for him, while Vicky remains convinced that David has been kidnapped by his mother, the monstrous phoenix, Laura Collins. Laura appears to David in a remote fishing shack and tells him they'll be together forever if he simply stares into the flames of her lantern. In the meantime, Vicky recalls David saying at the seance that he'd be consumed by fire "in a little house by the sea." Putting the clues together, Vicky races toward the shack -- just as Laura turns the structure into an inferno and restrains David so that they'll both burn within it. Commercials deleted.
