ROSWELL: ASK NOT (TV)
Summary
One in this sci-fi series, based on the "Roswell High" book series, about teenage alien-human hybrids living in Roswell, New Mexico, as they try to find a way home. In this episode, Liz, Isabel, Tess, Maria, Michael, Courteny, and Alex party at the Crashdown as a shirtless Max sprints through the streets, bearing a red handprint on his chest. Max alerts everyone that Nasedo is dead and that they are all in danger as Nasedo warned of another alien among them. They take Nasedo's body to their healing chamber but they are unable to reverse his condition and he quickly disintegrates into sand. Max tells them how Nasedo warned them about "the skins." The next day, Sheriff Valenti welcomes home Kyle from football camp. He informs his son that Nasedo was just killed by another alien. In school, Michael can't believe he and Isabel have gone to classes that day, thinking they are sitting ducks for the killer. During a history lesson, Max is taught about John F. Kennedy's techniques as a leader, making him question his own. Later that day, Max finds that the UFO museum has been bought by internet millionaire Brody Davis. That night, Max speaks with Tess, who talks about now having to fend for herself due to Nasedo's death. Liz sees Max walking with Tess and is upset, though she tells Maria that she's over Max. Meanwhile, Max questions Tess on whether she remembers their world. When the two reach Tess's house, they find someone has been there. A flap of dead skin is left behind which quickly turns to sand. The next morning, Kyle awakens to find Tess sleeping on the living room sofa, where the sheriff has allowed her to bunk for the time being. At work, Liz tells Congresswoman Whitaker that Pierce has gone away. Meanwhile, Max does some snooping in the museum and sees some computer stats about a detected "pulse" on May 14, 2000. Brody catches Max and immediately fires him. Later, Liz walks in on the congresswoman, who is drunk and shredding all the alien files related to Pierce. Liz discusses her hatred for Tess with her. Once Tess leaves, however, the congresswoman proves to have been putting on an act to get information from her staffer. Meanwhile, Kyle is tired of how much Tess has made herself at home at his house. Kyle discusses how his newfound awareness of the aliens has messed up his reality. At the same time, Michael wonders to Max and Isabel why Milton would have sold his beloved museum to Brody. Michael sneaks back to the museum and sees Brody using an alien device. Brody unleashes a force that knocks Michael over. Max pursues Michael but the injured alien is able to escape. Michael and Isabel convince Max that they need to kill Brody, as he is likely "the skin" that murdered Nasedo. That night, the trio goes back to the UFO museum. However, Max has second thoughts and uses a new power to prevent Isabel and Michael from following him into a confrontation with Brody. Max questions Brody about the May 14 date on his files. Brody then tells how he was abducted by aliens years earlier, thinking Max has had a similar experience with extraterrestrials. Max remains suspicious, however. Afterward at the diner, Courtney flirts with Michael as Tess and Kyle have a rapprochement. Later, Max confronts Liz, telling her that he cares about her more than his "destiny." Finally, Courtney goes to the ladies room, where she sheds one of her "skins." Commercials deleted.
