SOPRANOS, THE: ARMY OF ONE {SEASON THREE FINALE} (TV)

Summary

One in this darkly comic, dramatic series centering around the crime empire and family life of Tony Soprano, a modern-day Mafia boss. This episode begins with A.J. and a friend breaking into the school and stealing a test. Meanwhile, Jackie Jr. hides out with an African-American man and his daughter in a seedy neighborhood. Late one night, Tony receives a call from Jackie Jr. imploring Tony for help; Tony hangs up on him. Meanwhile, the FBI puts Deborah Cicerone to the task of befriending Adriana and culling information from her. Paulie, angry with Ralphie for the $50,000 debt he feels he is owed, arranges for Tony to have a "sit-down" between the two men, during which Tony decides that Ralphie need only pay $12,000; Paulie is furious. A.J. gets expelled from school, leaving Tony only one choice in his opinion -- sending him to military school. One day Jackie Jr. leaves the apartment and gets whacked by Vito. Everyone is distraught by the news, thinking he was killed by a rival drug dealer. At Jackie Jr.'s funeral, Silvio and Christopher are briefly arrested, while Meadow defends her family's way of life before angrily storming out on her father who she holds partially responsible for everything. The episode ends with Paulie talking with New York crime boss Johnny Sack about a possible shift in his allegiances.
