QUEER AS FOLK {U.S. VERSION}: RUNNING TO STAND STILL (TV)

Summary

One in this series about the day-to-day lives of a circle of gay and lesbian friends living in Pittsburgh.

In this episode, Brian is awarded Pittsburgh's ad person of the year award by Adam Lyons, a hot-shot ad man from New York. Later that night, the two become amorous, and Adam invites Brian to interview for a new job opening at his company in New York.

Meanwhile, Melanie and Vic prepare for Vic's sex-offense trial. David learns that his ex-wife Laura and her husband are getting a divorce and leaves town to comfort his son, Hank. Ted helps Blake land a job interview with Melanie's law firm. The gang is upset to hear about Brian's potential move to New York. Justin takes it extremely hard, begging Brian to stay.

At the trial, Vic surprises everyone by pleading not guilty. Later, Michael helps Justin cope with Brian's possible departure. Back from his trip, David tells Michael that he's decided to move near Hank permanently and invites Michael to join him. In quick succession, Brian gets word from New York, Vic's trial is resolved, and Blake is hired at the law firm. During a romp with Blake later in the evening, however, Ted discovers something upsetting.
