Summary
Continued from T:70900. Tape two of three. Hosted by
Gabriel Corrado of Argentina and Arancha del Sol of
Spain, this celebration of contemporary music from
Spain and Latin America features live performances by
well-known musicians from the Hispanic world and
showcase segments on Latin dance. The show was
recorded on Spanish Heritage Day October 12, 2001,
before an audience of over 6,000 people at an outdoor
venue in Seville and broadcast in Spain and throughout
Latin America. The second tape contains six live
performances as well as two showcase segments and a
comedy sketch, and includes music and artists from
Spain, Italy, Cuba, England, and Peru. This tape begins
with a performance by Rosana, who sings "Pa' Ti No
Estoy," followed by a vocal performance by Giovanotti.
Next, there is a showcase segment, including footage of
Cuban popular music, bolero, and trova on screen and a
dance performance on stage. A performance by the trio
Atomic Kitten, which sings "Eternal Flame" in English,
follows. Then Enrique Iglesias returns to sing "Escape"
in English. Next, the group La Oreja de Van Gogh (Van
Gogh's Ear) perform "Soledad." Another showcase
segment, this one featuring the Peruvian waltz with
footage and onstage performance, follows. Next, there
is a comedy sketch by Triciclo, a group of three men who
do an improvisation based on three imaginary toilet
seats that transform into many different things in their
minds. This tape ends with a performance by the group
Presuntos Implicados of their song "Gente." Commercials
