LIFE WITH BONNIE: PARTLY SUNNY (TV)
Summary
One in this comedy series starring Bonnie Hunt as Bonnie Molloy, a Chicago woman juggling parenthood with her television career. In this episode, Bonnie and Mark prepare to head to a charity auction. With Bonnie having lost her keys, Mark cannot believe how disorganized his wife is, thinking she needs "a system." At the auction, Bonnie wins a one-day part on a soap opera, "Moments of the Day" -- as does Johnny Volcano. On the day of the episode's air date, Bonnie is excited to be showing a clip on her show, with Johnny as her guest. That day on her set, while Tony, Marv, and Holly nosh on breakfast, Bonnie and Johnny discuss their upcoming interview. Johnny also tells Bonnie about the new "dramadery" script he has written, which he thinks will propel him to Hollywood stardom. During the interview, Bonnie has to pretend that Johnny actually auditioned for the soap opera part. Johnny also discusses his own line of "volcanic" clothing. Then, a clip is shown of Bonnie and Johnny's soap episode, during which neither of them shine. Afterward, Johnny discusses why he chose to play his role with an English accent, as well as affecting a limp. That night, Bonnie and Mark watch Johnny's pre-taped -- and inaccurate -- weather segment. She then wonders why no one congratulated her on her soap appearance. Includes commercials.
