GRAN HERMANO IV {BIG BROTHER IV} {TAPE 1 OF 2}
{SPANISH} (TV)
Summary
Tape one of two. One in this Spanish version of the
reality series that follows the exploits of thirteen
contestants thrown together in a house for 102 days,
isolated from the outside world, and constantly
monitored by video cameras. Forced to obey rules and
complete tasks given by "Big Brother," the contestants
try to avoid being eliminated, with the last contestant
left winning a prize of 300,000 euros. This episode,
broadcast live, is the last in season four. Throughout
the first half of the episode, the remaining three
contestants, Rafael (Rafa), DŽsirŽe (Desi) and Pedro,
alternately sit on a couch looking nervous, and
reminisce over video montages shown on television
screens in the house. Host Mercedes Mila is in the
studio with a large group of contestants and their
relatives, and interviews many of them at different
points in the program for their insights about the show
and the contestants. Meanwhile, co-host Jorge Fern‡ndez
reports from outside the house, interviewing friends,
relatives, and the three finalists themselves as they
exit the house. The episode begins with an introductory
voice-over by Mila and a shot of the party atmosphere
(crazed fans, dancers, red carpet) waiting for the
finalists outside the house. Voting is wrapping up in
the first few minutes of this episode, and on-screen
text tells the home viewers which numbers to call to
vote for their favorite contestant and be entered to
win a prize of 300,000 euros. In the house, the three
finalists receive an envelope that reveals the
distribution of the vote by percentage, but not the name
of the winner; the graphic is also shown on screen.
Shortly thereafter, Mila appears on the big screens over
the pool deck of the house to announce the name of the
second runner up: Rafa. He exits the house and gets
into an SUV to go to the Telecinco studios. In the
studio, Mila interviews ex-contestants Judith, Inma, and
Nacho, who became involved with Rafa, Pedro, and Desi
(respectively); then she introduces a video montage of
all the contestants entering the house for the first
time, and another montage from the early episodes of the
show. Pedro and Desi are called back out to the pool
deck to see a video montage in which Pedro is revealed
as the winner of season IV. Desi is very happy for him
and leaves the house to go to the Telecinco studios.
Pedro, now alone, finds that there are sheep loose in
the kitchen, some of them his sheep, and he's very happy
to see them. He brings them outside to the yard, where
he also finds his dog, and puts them in a pen. He then
leaves the house and climbs into an SUV to go to
Telecinco. This segment of the program concludes with
Rafa arriving at the Telecinco Studios. Commercials
deleted. Continues with T:76040.
