Summary
One in this series about the Fisher clan, a loving -- if dysfunctional -- family struggling to maintain a sense of normalcy in the face of the stressful day-to-day operations of the eccentric family business, a funeral home in Los Angeles. In this episode, fouled-mouthed death row inmate Carl Desmond Williman is killed by lethal injection. Brenda tries to make contact with Nate whose self-destructive behavior escalates. Meanwhile, David and Keith keep fighting, eventually breaking up, while Claire asks Brenda for a ride to the abortion clinic. Also, George and Ruth decide to get married, something that doesn't go over well with the Fisher children. The episode ends with Nate having sex with Williman's loopy daughter Allison, and David doing likewise with choir chum Patrick.
