KNIGHTS OF PROSPERITY, THE: OPERATION: SAVE ESPERANZA (TV)

Summary

One in this comedy series about a group of misfits who attempt to rob various celebrities. In this episode, Eugene claims the Knights are finally ready to rob Mick Jagger at the stroke of midnight. However, Esperanza is nowhere to be seen and she is sorely needed as she is the only Knight capable of a certain robbery task. As she is closing up the diner, she gets visited by Enrico -- a former boyfriend -- and his goons who have tracked her down, wanting to bring her back to Colombia. Worried, Eugene gets the Knights to go search for Esperanza. At the diner, Eugene and the Knights are freaked to see that the violent Colombian drug lord has arrived in town, having heard stories about him from Esperanza. Nevertheless, Eugene thinks it's the Knights' job to save her. They follow Esperanza and Enrico to a chic nightclub but they are unable to get into the velvet-rope location. Meanwhile, Enrico tells Esperanza that she has disgraced him by running away and that he is forcing her to return to Colombia to be his wife and restore his honor. Eventually, Rockefeller makes a connection with a bouncer and the Knights enter the club. There, Rockefeller and Gary fake a fight while the other Knights create various diversions which allow Eugene to get Esperanza away from Enrico. However, a scared Esperanza says that she has no choice but to return to Colombia. Eugene refuses to accept her fate and goes to speak with the enraged Enrico, getting carted away by the thugs. Later that night, Esperanza sneaks out of Enrico's bed and finds a badly bruised Eugene in his apartment. She explains that Enrico would kill her, and the Knights, if she doesn't go back. The episode ends with the Knights implementing one long-shot plan to eliminate Enrico from Esperanza's life, once and for all. Includes commercials.
