NOTES FROM THE UNDERBELLY: OLEANDER (TV)
Summary
One in this comedy series, based upon the Risa Green book of the same name, about Andrew and Lauren, a couple expecting their first child.
In this episode, Andrew explains how Lauren has been throwing up every day due to morning sickness. He also laments the fact that he can't touch his wife's now larger breasts. Later, Lauren walks with Julie and Cooper, who discuss wanting to eat at a new restaurant, Oleander. Lauren notes that she and Andrew are boycotting the place due to the behavior of their valets.
However, soon enough, Andrew and Lauren are eating at Oleander with Cooper, Danny, and Kelly, a women Cooper once dated. The next day, Lauren and Julie look at pregnancy recovery suites. Meanwhile, Danny arrives at Cooper's job, telling her that Kelly is not over her yet. Then, Julie brings Lauren to her "sisterhood" of pregnant women, where she talks about the lack of sex she is having with Andrew. That night, Lauren sets up the bedroom so that Andrew's "needs" can be handled, but it's not quite what he expected.
The next day, Lauren finally feels good, ready to have sex, and Andrew rushes to get together with her. However, he is unable to find a parking spot on their block due to Oleander's valets hogging all the spaces. Finally, Andrew brokers a deal with the valets, though he quickly learns that the smell from a product he's using is what's making Lauren sick. The two try to identify the culprit, though their sexual reunion continues to prove elusive. Includes commercials. This program is closed-captioned.
