One in this series of programs made in cooperation with Britain's National Trust, featuring some of the great houses of history, open to the public and still lived in by the families who originally owned them. Home of the Trevelyans, Wallington in the 19th century became a center for authors and artists sympathetic to the ideals of the Pre-Raphaelites. Highlights of this tour include: a portrait of William Blacket by Joshua Reynolds; the Ming China collection; the courtyard; planned roads and bridges; murals of Northumbrian stories; and the library.
