BURKE'S LAW: WHO KILLED EVERYBODY? (TV)

Summary

One in this police drama series about the homicide investigations of millionaire Los Angeles police Capt. Amos Burke, who speaks in witty puns and is known for having his own set of "laws." In this episode, four men drink themselves into a state of perpetual unconsciousness at a private gathering, which they hold every Thursday night over the course of a year. Burke is called away from rehearsing love scenes with a beautiful actress in order to investigate the quadruple murder caused by lethal bourbon. His suspects include the four new widows, all of whom had good reason to permanently black-out their husbands. Unfortunately, none of them has any motive for liquidating her husband's friends. The only other person under suspicion is the club's historian, who had failed in his attempt to have the four ruffians expelled from the club, but may have succeeded in lethally intoxicating them. Much to Burke's chagrin, he and his colleagues cannot gather enough proof to discern which of the suspects is guilty of the murders. Includes commercials.
