Summary
One in this series featuring the rock band the Monkees, which blends surrealistic comedy sequences with freewheeling music videos. This episode documents the experiences of the Monkees while on tour. Highlights of this episode include the following: young screaming fans wait for the Monkees' plane to land; Davy eats breakfast; Peter attempts to wake up Micky, who is sleeping in; a swan chases Davy; Micky signs autographs; Micky, Peter, and Davy go horseback riding; the Monkees take over a local radio station; Micky roller skates as the song "Steam Engine" plays; Peter visits a mall; Davy rides a motorcycle; Mike discusses the pros and cons of life on the road; the Monkees perform in concert; Peter discusses the importance of having a quiet place to go; Mike discusses his childhood ambitions of becoming a successful performer; Davy discusses how he loses track of the days while on the road; and Micky discusses his need to make something that will last.
