Summary
The premiere of this comedy series about Oliver and Lisa Douglas, a wealthy couple who leave their Park Avenue penthouse in New York City to live on a run-down farm near the small town of Hooterville. In the series opener, the narrator explains that Oliver Wendell Douglas, a successful New York lawyer, has always longed to live in the country, while his wife, Lisa, is accustomed to a pampered lifestyle in the big city. Sight unseen, Oliver buys a farm, and Lisa reluctantly agrees to accompany him to Hooterville, hoping that he will soon want to return to New York. Commercials deleted.
