BULLWINKLE SHOW, THE: BANANA FORMULA (TV)

Summary

One in this animated series about two friends -- a gormless moose named Bullwinkle and an intelligent flying squirrel named Rocky -- and their frequent encounters with their arch enemies, Soviet spies Boris Badenov and Natasha. In this episode, Bullwinkle proves that everyone can do something, when he demonstrates his ability to remember everything he has ever eaten. Meanwhile Boris and Natasha receive orders to steal a formula. Boris decides he will steal the formula for "hush a bomb," but runs into trouble when he hides his notes for the formula in a banana, which Bullwinkle promptly eats. Other highlights of this program include the following segments: Bullwinkle and Rocky decide to start their own newspaper so that they can write articles about their fan club; in "Fractured Fairy Tales: The Elves and the Shoemaker," a shoemaker is ordered by his king to destroy all his shoes, but finds the task difficult when elves arrive during the night and replace the ones that he has buried; in "Bullwinkle's Corner," the famous moose recites a poem entitled "Wee Willie Winkie"; and in "Mr. Peabody's Improbable History," the intelligent canine and Sherman travel back to the year 1867 and help to create the rules for boxing.
