Summary

Host Buzz Luttrell questions Sharon Komlos, who was blinded by a shotgun blast and then kidnapped and raped, about how she has reacted and rebounded. Author Gail Sheehy defines the human survival instinct and discusses her book about her adopted Cambodian daughter, who has survived refugee camps. Sheehy compares her daughter's survival with Sharon Komlos's and discusses the attitude necessary to survive. Luttrell interviews a panel of young adults who have survived tragedies Komlos and Sheehy discuss their involvement in victims' rights and survivor support groups. Commercials deleted.
