Summary

One in this occasional public affairs series that examines topics of political relevance, hosted by Peter Jennings and Ted Koppel. In this profile of President Ronald Reagan, Jennings and Koppel review Reagan's upbringing and educational influences; his acting career and governorship of California; and his terms as president, including an examination of his military policy, his Star Wars proposal, and his relationship with the Soviets. In interviews, former presidential aides Lyn Nofziger and David Stockman discuss the president's management style, and Jennings and Koppel examine how these qualities were reflected in his presidential campaigns.
