HONEYMOONERS CHRISTMAS SPECIAL, THE (TV)
Summary
One in this occasional series of specials featuring the original "Honeymooners" characters. In this program, Ralph Kramden comes up with yet another get-rich-quick scheme. Through various forms of deceit and manipulation, Ralph relieves Ed Norton of his Christmas bonus check and Alice of her father's social security check, and spends the money -- along with his and Alice's life savings -- on lottery tickets. Aghast to discover what Ralph has done, Alice, Norton, Trixie, and Alice's mother, Mildred, listen to Johnny Olson announce the lottery winners on the radio. Ralph is not among them. Later, they learn that Ralph has won sixth prize, for a net profit of twelve cents. Privately, Alice expresses her disappointment in Ralph for showing her and his friends so little consideration. Ralph apologizes and Alice forgives him. Gleason brings the cast onstage before saying goodnight. Commercials deleted.
