MOD SQUAD, THE: AND A LITTLE CHILD SHALL BLEED THEM (TV)
Summary
One in this series of dramas about three societal drop-outs who become undercover police agents. In this episode, Milton Berle plays Uncle Bobo, a children's television clown who becomes the target of a murder plot. When fumes from a popped balloon cause Bobo to collapse onstage, the Mod Squad is assigned to protect the harlequin and discover the identity of his would-be assassin. Suspects include Mrs. Knocks, Uncle Bobo's ex-wife and the mother of their son; Luther, the owner of the shop that delivered the deadly balloon and an ex-partner of Uncle Bobo's; and Hagen, a man who seems to be stalking the TV jester. While all the suspects seem guilty, the agents are stunned when they learn the culprit's real identity. Includes commercials.
